Today my dad and I went to Diamond Head State Memorial Park and we walked. It was hot and we drank a full litre of water. The walk was steep and quite easy, but packed with so many people that you couldn't walk very fast .

After going to Diamond Head, we drove on the freeway East in our Mustang convertible with the top down. It was a lovely drive. Then we stopped at Makapu'u Beach to have lunch and play in the water.
Once we had finished eating lunch and playing in the water we got in the car to go back to our apartment and then we got into togs and walked down to the beach to have a nice swim. It was an amazing swim and then after 2 hours of swimming we decide to go home.
We get back to the room we are staying in and the key will not open it!! We got given the wrong key. Aghh. We try again and again but it doesn't work and there is no manager in the office at the ground floor so we are STUCK. We also don't have any money, phones or car keys with us so we are literally stuck! This very kind woman from Sydney (in an nearby apartment) helped us look for the manager and we couldn't find her so she gave us some money to find a pay phone. After looking for a while, and getting a friendly policewoman to help us, we found one and called the manager and she told us she would come and let us in.
We speed walked back to the apartment and the manager was there to unlock the door. It felt amazing to know that we had somewhere to sleep and eat again.

That's so aqua ocean, we will never have that type of sea here in New Zealand. What are the brands of cars in Hawaii? I imagine they are all flash Mustangs and Dodge Challengers. Good writing Eliza, you really told us in detail what it would have been like if we were stuck outside your cabin door. Lucky for that woman from Sydney, I hope the reast of your journey runs smoothly and you will be able to find your cabin door. By the way it is 5 degrees thismorning and you are partying in flipin 30 degrees, that's short sleeved sunshine. Lucky you!!!!!!

It was a little bit worrying being stuck outside without a key, money or phone. Loving the swimming.
