It was a big travelling day yesterday - so no blog posting. We successfully dropped off the rental car (and took one last photo of the Mustang for posterity).
Getting our boarding passes was largely trouble free, but we did have to re-organise things and check in one of our 'carry-on' bags. Alaska Airlines is very particular about the size of the luggage. There was a bit of time spare for us, so this gave us time to grab a Starbucks Frappacino each and do some shopping.

We had a lot of fun on the flight to Seattle, just joking around and playing cards. It felt like it went relatively quickly, and the in-flight "Protein Power pack" meal was very nice. The pack had chicken, pita bread, cucumber, carrots, cheese, grapes, strawberries and walnuts along with a pot of hummus. Just what was needed.

When we got off the plane we got on a train and went to a different area of the airport, and we got some food and then got on the 3 hour flight to Fairbanks. We arrived in Fairbanks safely and it was 1 am in the morning but the sun was still in the sky.
Once we picked up our bags we went to go and pick up our new rental car. While dad was waiting in the line to pick up the car I was taking photos of Bears and Moose

Fairbanks is as vast as Honolulu was compact. There are few cars and people (especially at 1am), so our accommodation was quickly found and we were asleep before 2am.
Yay finally in Alaska. Hope you have fun there.
